Melt & Pour Soap making is fun and incredibly easy to do. It consists of three basic steps.

All of our soap making kits contain easy to follow, step-by-step instructions as well as helpful tips and ideas for enhancing your soap making experience.

Caution: Melted soap is hot. Adult supervision is required when children are making soap.

MELT & POUR SOAP MAKING 101


1) Cut soap into 1 inch chunks along scored lines. Place in microwave safe measuring cup or in double boiler.	2) Heat in microwave for 40 seconds; then in 10 second intervals until soap is completely melted. Caution: MELTED SOAP IS HOT	3) Add a few drops of color.

4) Stir.

5) Pour into mold and allow soap to cool for approximately 30 minutes (larger bars release easier if left longer). Remove from mold by applying gentle but firm pressure with thumbs to release from mold.

ADVANCED TECHNIQUE: KEEP GOING TO MAKE CHECKERBOARD SOAP!


6) Cut the soap bar you just made into cubes and place into mold.	7) Repeat steps 1 through 4 and pour into mold. Caution: MELTED SOAP IS HOT!	8) Allow soap to cool for approximately 30 minutes (larger bars release easier if left longer). Remove from mold by applying gentle but firm pressure with thumbs to release from mold.
